While the US pharmaceutical industry is responsible for incredible innovation, it is far from perfect. Skyrocketing drug prices can make it difficult for the average person to access life-saving medication.
To bring down the cost of medication, we need to bring down the cost of bringing a new medicine to market. A large portion of that cost is sales and marketing. A recent study found that 7 out of the 10 largest pharma companies spend an average of 35% more on sales and marketing than on R&D.
Sales reps play a crucial role in making sure doctors have up-to-date knowledge on the latest products, as well as support getting prescriptions across the line. But the relationship is strained, and costs are high.
By modernizing how doctors and sales reps interact, we can drastically reduce selling and prescription costs.
